I am a creative, experienced strategist and educator who collaborates with senior leaders as a utility player and trusted partner. I develop programs, evaluations, grant proposals, stewardship plans, and compelling stories—along with budgets and financial projections. I also teach content, program design and implementation, and mentor those working to improve the world.
Grounded in Community Health | From Direct Care to System Impact
My journey began in community health—as a home health aide and case manager supporting those facing poverty and isolation. These experiences shaped my understanding of the strengths people bring to hardship, the potential for well-designed systems to improve lives, and the reality of labyrinthine systems that people in need must navigate to find support.
My work with clients facing hardship established my commitment to creating solutions that work at scale. This passion led me to pursue a masters in Health Policy and Management at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. I then held roles in academic medicine and higher education—leading clinical resource analysis at University of Chicago Hospitals, strategic financial planning at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and strategic initiatives at Mass General Brigham and Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
Finding Inspiration | Advancing Health
After a decade in program planning and financial strategy, I pivoted my career to advancing health, both globally and domestically. Partnering with the Peace Corps, I helped to launch Seed Global Health building provider capacity in sub-Saharan Africa. I helped to expand HIV prevention with HSPH and UNAIDS and supported global cancer care through partnerships working with Partners In Health and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
My years working with Dr. Paul Farmer profoundly shaped my sense of what’s possible. I led programs for Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Division of Global Health Equity, with Partners In Health and Harvard Medical School, all a part of Dr. Farmer's Global Health Delivery Partnership. I developed fellowships in Haiti, scaled global education programs, and launched pioneering health equity initiatives. Collaborators included COPE (Navajo Nation), Last Mile Health (Liberia), PIVOT (Madagascar), Possible (Nepal), Wuqu'Kawoq (Guatemala), and other NGOs committed to care for all. I worked with funding partners, foundations, and individual supporters sharing a vision for health.
Consultant & Collaborator | Educator & Mentor
Building on these skills and experiences, I'm honored now to collaborate with nonprofit and public sector leaders to create and execute plans that transform lives. I engage in rigorous research, nuanced strategy development, effective communication, and insightful execution, all supporting organizations to fulfill their critical missions.
Woven through my career is a dedication to education and mentorship. I hold a masters in education from Boston College and have led programs supporting students from high school through doctoral studies. I am honored to teach in Tufts University's Department of Community Health supporting the next generation of leaders committed to improving our world. As adjunct faculty at Brandeis and Simmons, and previously at HSPH, I champion experiential and mentorship models and support learners with content knowledge and creativity. I have also developed robust training programs at Mass General Brigham and the National Partnership for Education Access.
